De knappe, volslanke Kennedy, directeur van matchmakingbureau Kinnections, lijkt op alle vrouwen een succesvolle vrouw. Maar onder dat masker van zelfvertrouwen gaat een onzeker meisje schuil dat niemand dichtbij laat komen. En al helemaal geen mannen.

Nate Dunkle is een verlegen wetenschapper die tot nu toe weinig succes heeft gehad in de liefde. Kennedy weet zeker dat ze hem kan helpen, maar terwijl ze voor hem aan de slag gaat, raakt ze ongemerkt meer van hem gecharmeerd dan ze had kunnen denken. Durft ze haar hart te volgen, of blijft ze toekijken hoe Nate de ware liefde vindt – bij iemand anders?
